Welcome

Welcome to rentontutor.com, the online, one-on-one tutoring service for high school students in the Renton School District.

Many students have experience with traditional tutoring—whether they’ve gone to a learning center or had weekly sessions with a tutor at home or school.

Rentontutor.com is a totally different experience

Our tutors (yes, they are real, live people) are available during prescribed tutoring sessions at school, and online 24/7 to help students get homework, study and everything in between done so they understand the subject, know how to get to the answer, and can get on with their life.

The help students need, anytime, anywhere

At Rentontutor.com, students call the shots. They can connect to a tutor online during study sessions in school computer labs and, later, any time (we're open 24/7) to get the help they need with mathematics and whatever they’re working on in any subject, no matter where they are—at home, at a friend's house or at their favorite hangout.

Most traditional tutoring centers and in-person tutors set a schedule for students. Rentontutor.com eliminates the need to juggle the schedules of in-person tutors. At Rentontutor.com, students decide how much time they need to spend with a tutor to master subjects.

No additional testing or monthly fees

High school students throughout Renton will get the help they need to master complicated mathematics formulas and learn how to approach problems to get the correct answer. Students get direct access to a tutor—no testing required. And since community donors pay for the sessions, students never need to worry about hidden fees or monthly charges.

"Tutoring works!"

"You can make a difference in the lives of your future employees by contributing to rentontutor.com," - Dr. Mary Alice Heuschel, Superintendent, Renton School District

100 high school students (25 from each school) throughout the district this year will take part in mathematics tutoring program. Your contribution today will allow students to get to work right now.

Rentontutor.com, is an enhancement of last year’s successful Bob Bridge Tutor Initiative, which was piloted at Lindbergh High School. Bob Bridge is a local Renton businessowner of Bob Bridge Toyota/Scion, who is committed to the betterment of the children and families in his community. Students in that program showed dramatic results in their mathematics classes, on school and state tests, and were more confident and successful in other classes.

Breaunah Jacobs, 16, junior, Lindbergh High School
"I was really happy to be selected for last year's Bob Bridge tutoring program. I knew I needed help in math and knew that a one-on-one tutor would be the best way for me to learn. My teacher is good, but I needed more individual time to learn specific rules and applications of math. Thanks to my tutor, I went from a D to a B!"
